STAMPIN UP! Technique Tuesday

Who doesn't love learning new techiques when it comes to stamping...every Tuesday on the STAMPIN UP! blog they post a new one...check it out and order the supplies to try it today at my store! lisacoffey.stampinup.net

Technique Tuesday – Masking and Spritzing

Every Tuesday during the month of May, a Stampin’ Up! concept artist is going to share a technique. For the first one, I’ll show you how to mask and spritz.
I masked using the heart from the Owl Punch. This is a little tricky since the pieces are so small! Here’s how I did it.
Step one – Punch out a bunch of hearts.

Step two – Cover the backs of the hearts with some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and let them dry; this should only take a few minutes. (The dried glue will create a repositionable/non-permanent adhesive on the backs of the hearts.)

Step three – Place hearts on the card base. I used my Paper-Piercing Tool to do this.

Step four – Spritz your card all over using even coverage.

Step five – Remove a few hearts and spritz all over again.

Step six – Remove a few more hearts and spritz all over again.

Step seven – Remove all of the remaining hearts and clean up any extra adhesive left behind using an adhesive remover. Your card base is finished!

Step eight – Embellish and finish up your card.

Stampin Up! Blog Post Let The Cute Begin

Todays Blog Post From Stampin UP!

Let the Cute Begin

I am incredibly lucky. I have a new niece and a new nephew on the way. My niece will be arriving in June and my nephew in September. I’m so excited to meet them both. To help their parents welcome them into their families, I put these little gift bags together using the Best Of Stamp for May, Best of Brides and Babies.

I included a couple of gifts inside the bag: a gift card for the store where they registered, and a bundle of thank you cards.

Now Mom and Dad will have some extra money for more diapers (or whatever they didn’t get at their shower) and can also get a jumpstart on their thank you lists.
I think these bags are so quick and easy to put together that they could be used as party favors for the shower, too.

Show & Tell

Another cool post from Stampin Up! Blog form May 1st

Show & Tell

To keep the excitement up about this hip product, I decided that one new set this month just wasn’t enough . . . so now there are two new sets: Show & Tell 1 (#133450) and Show & Tell 2 (#133481). They were both inspired by fashion and by chevron, arrow, and geometric shape trends that coordinate with one another beautifully.

When I started thinking about what type of stamp set I would enjoy using, I just knew it needed to be versatile, fresh, and buildable; nothing is more fun than building something beautifully unique, as well as having lots of options! Usability was a huge factor when I was designing this set, so I spent time picking the brain of one of my favorite concept designers, Jen C., who worked with me to make sure we got this one right.

I love treat bags, gift packaging, and of course cards, but there are so many other wonderful things you can create using this stamp set. I’m a messy crafter and would describe my method of madness as organic and fluid—and you will see this while viewing my samples.

To go with these fun sets, the downloadable PDF, Seeing the Possibilities Online Class (#134532), stages 15 projects using both of the Show & Tell Stamp Sets. The online class features a collection of enjoyable ideas showcasing topics such as backgrounds, building, layering, versatility, gift-giving, and memory keeping inspiration! You can also bundle (#134533) this class with both of the Show & Tell Stamp Sets and save 15 percent! How fun is that?

I hope you love these stamp sets and create beautiful, unique things with them. Go get them in the online store!

Items for Booth at Womans Conference at Radiant Church June 14th & 15th

Do you like them? I made these for a booth that I am having at an upcoming AZ Woman of Influence conference that is being held at Radiant Church on June 14th at 15th ( click here for more details on the conference).

They are note paper holders made with the scallop envelope die (113462) form the 2012-2013 catalog. As you can tell they have a large magnet on the back so you can hang it on your refrigerator for easy access. If you would like to learn to make these leave me a comment and I will get back with you to plan a time to teach you and any friends you would like to invite.

Check out my online store to get the supplies I used to make these cute note paper holders.

Have a crafty day!

Kraft Box and Paper lantern Projects from Stampin Up Blog

Check out these cool projects from the Stampin Up Blog!

The Kraft Gift Box Hot Air Balloon Project . . . and More!

Today we’re going to show you how to make a hot air balloon “basket” using one of our cute Kraft Gift Boxes! Attach the “basket” to an inexpensive paper Chinese lantern, and you’ll have a “hot air balloon” in under an hour. This would make a sweet decoration for a child’s room—or fill it with treats (a cupcake would fit!) and deliver it to someone special.

I created the letter using the Big Shot, the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die, and Real Red Cardstock. The decorative dots were a snap--just stamp small circles using a Sponge Dauber and the Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin’ Pad, then punch them out using the 3/4" Circle Punch.

Chinese lanterns are very inexpensive and can be purchased at your local party store. They make great decorations for summer parties--try hanging them from the trees in your backyard.

The butterflies on this lantern were made using the Big Shot, the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, the Elegant Butterfly Punch, Real Red Cardstock, and Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper. I suspended them from Linen Thread.

I wrapped my final lantern with Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape (a Sneak Peak item from our upcoming catalog) and embellished it with flowers made using Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper (also a Sneak Peak item) and the Fancy Flower Punch.

We invite you to get creative using fabulous Stampin’ Up! products! Click here to check out our online store!
